La Danse des Etoiles (Villa DOL) is an extraordinary achievement of design and craftsmanship. The entrance to the house leads directly into the main living, dining and kitchen area, whose high ceilings and panoramic view give it an airy, loft-like feel. To the west, an entire wall of glass slides out of sight, opening the space to the large terrace, infinity pool, and broad vista over the bays of Lorient and St. Jean, the Atlantic and St. Maarten visible in the distance. A teak deck beneath a large canvas awning offers plentiful seating for relaxing in the shade or dining outdoors. Chaises for sunning are cooled by an automatic misting system. A professional Fisher and Paykel grill makes barbecuing a breeze. Not far from the terrace is a dramatically designed, nautilus shaped bathroom with a rain head shower. A lower terrace beyond the pool provides a secluded space for sunning or just relaxing to the soothing sound of the black stone fountain. The view from here is simply stunning, with only an expanse of brilliant bougainvillea blossoms between you and the vision of the blue Caribbean water.

First three bedrooms, located on the property's pool level are all roughly equal in size and are exceptionally well-furnished in dark hardwoods and chocolate-hued leather. The first bedroom offers views to the east and south, and has a glass-tiled ensuite bath, generous closet space, and a private deck with chaises and an outdoor shower. The second and third bedrooms also have their own secluded, private outdoor spaces, as well as ensuite baths. The villa's fourth and fifth bedrooms are located on a lower level, and boast their own private living and entertainment area, gym, massage room and private ensuite baths.

The open kitchen will let aspiring chefs flex their culinary muscle without being antisocial. Multiple SubZero refrigerators, a Viking range top and Delonghi oven are just a few of the top-quality amenities arranged both discretely and conveniently to make kitchen both pleasure to use and pleasure to look at. The dining area offers elegant seating for eight at a lacquered, dark wood table. Plush, inviting sofas in the living area seat ten. A home office in a loft space above the living and dining area provides a large and comfortable work space for taking calls or handling email and faxes.

The entrance to Coco Palms is the kind where you kick off your shoes before going in. Perhaps you've stopped off at the fish market in the nearby village of Lorient, so you're headed for the kitchen. Or maybe you're just back from an afternoon at Saline beach, ready for a refreshing dip in the nautilus-shaped pool. Either way, leave the flip-flops at the door; you won't need them anymore.

Descend the stairs to the deck and take in the expansive view of Lorient Bay and the islands beyond, and far off on the next headland to the west, the picturesque remnants of Autour du Rocher, Jimmy Buffet's legendary 1980's hotel and nightspot. A few steps to your left and you're in the modern, convenient and fully equipped kitchen, with black stone countertops and a spacious Liebherr refrigerator. Coco Palms' kitchen opens directly onto a comfortable living room with a flat-screen tv, and beyond that a dining area with seating for ten. But if you are looking for the best vantage point to relax and watch the setting sun, turn to your right and you will find a cushioned alcove with the perfect view, encircled with casual seating for eight if you feel like sharing the moment. Extending out to the edge of the property, a green lawn invites you to move one of the deck chairs out under the branches of a flamboyant tree.

On either side of the living/dining area you find two of Coco Palms' three bedrooms. Just steps from the pool, each one is decorated in a clean, updated Caribbean style, complete with king-size beds, en-suite baths, wood-louver windows and doors, and generous closet space. A slate-tiled walkway leads to the steps that take you to the downstairs bedroom, along with its own private Jacuzzi, shady alcove and outdoor seating. This third bedroom boasts a unique design: an integrated en-suite bath with dual vanities and a rain-head shower, and a walk-in closet. Steps away you will find a well-equipped fitness room with a Technogym weight system, plus treadmill, cycling, and rowing machines, and of course an exceptional view of the sea. The terrace outside is well secluded for private yoga lessons or a relaxing massage.

The stone path at the entryway to Villa Hill House leads to a choice: On your right, a jaw-dropping view of the Atlantic, the islands of Tintamarre and Anguilla visible in the distance. Adjoining the bedroom is an expansive bathroom offering a luxury rare even among the top villas of St. Barth: a deep Philippe Starck bathtub silhouetted against a vision of the blue ocean and sky seen through Heritage lace bee-motif curtains. A large dressing room completes the suite, with plentiful shelf space and thoughtful details like mannequin heads for your hats.

The Chalet Belle is set in an enviable location in the heart of Vail Square. Just steps from the Vail Gondola and with access to the Arrabelle’s private spa and fitness center, heated rooftop pool, rooftop hot tubs, and room service from the Tavern, it’s hard to imagine a more ideal ski destination.
